50 years of Gravity at Cardiff¶

On 19th July 2024 we will host a celebration of 50 years of gravitational physics research in Cardiff University.
We will be celebrating 50 years since Prof Bernard Schutz founded the group here, and this is also the occasion of Prof Sathyaprakash retiring from Cardiff after 28 years.
The event will run 9:15am - 4:30pm in the School of Physics and Astronomy, with light refreshments provided at the end of the event. Participants are encouraged to socialise in Cardiff over lunch.
A selection of talks will focus on research done in Cardiff (and beyond) over the last 50 years, including reminiscenes of time here. This is a scientific conference, aimed at current and former scientists.
